Comsearch Files Comments on FCC 70/80/90 GHz Rulemaking

Satellite Earth Stations

July 1, 2024 | www.fcc.gov

The FCC recently issued a Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (FNPRM) in the 70/80/90 GHz service asking whether and how to include Fixed Satellite Systems (FSS) in the bands. The FCC specifically asks how to include FSS earth stations in the Millimeter Wave Registration Database. Comsearch filed initial comments and reply comments on the FNPRM recommending that the FCC modify the rules to require FSS earth stations to register in the database. This will ensure protection of all users of the 70/80/90 GHz service.
