HICKORY, NC, May 2, 2012
Comsearch, a CommScope company, secured its 15th consecutive year as official spectrum manager for the International CTIA WIRELESS® 2012 event scheduled to take place in New Orleans May 8-10 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
More than 40,000 mobile industry professionals and over 1,000 exhibitors, including 366 first-time exhibitors, are attending this year’s show. A new feature of the event, a special Solutions Showcase, will provide interactive exhibits from industry leaders demonstrating the latest wireless innovations and offer a glimpse into what’s to come.
Comsearch will play a pivotal role in managing spectrum for exhibitor demonstrations of new capabilities enabled by technologies, such as LTE. Comsearch will also assist local wireless operators to help avoid any signal interference.
“As part of these efforts, we’ve been coordinating with area licensees, conducting pre-show testing and preparing to monitor on-site,” said Chris Hardy, vice president, Comsearch. “We’ve carefully matched exhibitor needs with available spectrum to avoid any issues during the convention. Sometimes that involves sharing channels, limiting power, pointing antennas away from each other – whatever the case, Comsearch has them covered.”
For 35 years, Comsearch has been a pre-eminent global provider of spectrum management and wireless engineering products and services. Comsearch has developed industry-standard interference analysis and mitigation processes and procedures and maintains state-of-the-art software and comprehensive databases used in the design of complex wireless systems. The company offers commercial and government customers innovative solutions to the challenges posed by 21st century wireless deployments.
